April 6, 2013 Gun Dog Trial Results

The 2013 spring field trial season ended with a bang! Gary Byfield and his English Setter Buddy ran away with first place in the 7th brace of the day. Although air temperatures were mild, the high winds kept it cool and kept some dogs off the the scent. TBDA newcomer and Quail Run Hunt Club owner Aaron McCoy finished second with a strong run late in the day with his Brittany Elle. Following close behind in third was perpetual top finisher Keith Lindsay’s GSP Sonja.

The TBDA was very happy to welcome several new members and some visitors to the trial as well. Remember that guests are always allowed to accompany judges into the field to observe. See the Gun Dog Trial rules for details and safety information.
