TBDA Trial results 10-6-18
For those not there, I’m sure you will be surprised to learn we didn’t get a drop of rain all day. That was the good news. The bad news it was hot and humid. Handlers had to be very guarded with their dogs. These dogs will run for us, literally till they die, so it was up to us to take care of them. Kelly Sample was in the first brace and laid down a score for everyone to chase. He then drove to Stillwater for the game so missed all the praise and the critique. Ha.
Gene Gray and Joe, who always seem in the mix, were a close second in the following brace. Then it go hot, some guys were seen cashing the cloud cover from truck to truck, and the scores plummeted. The front finally moved through and Josh Gwartney and Kate got close in the last brace of the day.

A big thank you from all of us to the Judges, Ellison, Carl, and Charlie, who were out in it all day. Give them a sincere thank you, and maybe a bro hug, next time you see em. Tom Krause was the chairperson, and came with birds in the nick of time, it was planned that way but we failed to tell anyone else. Ha. Bob Dorn did lunch, BBQ pork loin with sides, and there were no leftovers. Our first fall trial, even though it felt like summer, had several new members and several families. Thad Short’s family was out with the latest addition, Luke Henry 4 weeks old, congratulations to all, he is a fine looking boy. Am really looking forward to our next in two weeks and some cooler weather. Hope to see you then.
