Tulsa Bird Dog Association

It was a beautiful morning at the first trial of the fall. We started off in the mid 50’s, very fall like, then it got back to summer pretty quick. Hot and dry made it hard for the dogs to find those birds. In the open field James Parnell and Sis took 1st, Gene Gray and Joe picked up where they left off with 2nd., Tom Alexander and Boomer were close behind in 3rd., Larry Naas and Gunner had a good showing in 4th. with Rusean Hardman and Deuce taking 5th, and Mick Gill and Opey holding down 6th. Over in the puppy field James Parnell and Bub came in 1st with Larry Naas and Rosie in 2nd and new member Stueve and Donnie grabbing 3rd from a impressive field of 14 pups. Our next trial is on 10-22-22 and registration is open. A big thank you to all those who pitched in to help, with a special shout out to Charlie Hess, an original charter member who no longer runs dogs, but still takes the time to spend the day on a quad judging all those puppies. A true role model for the rest of us. Thank you to Bob Dorn, Doug Cross, Larry Naas, and Mick Gill to keep the scores straight on the open field. Gene Gray for picking up lunch and thanks to all the members who used safe gun handling on the field so we could get it down without incident. Our first trial of the fall was some great weather and we had a great turn out. Unfortunately, we are having some technical difficulties getting the results posted. Bear with us and we’ll get it done and have it up here soon.
