Bill Yuan and Buddy won the Oct. 4 Open Gun Dog Stakes with a score of 149

What a day in the field it was on Saturday. The weather was as good as it could have possibly been, but the scenting conditions were tough as nails. Lots of great dogs drew a blank and the high score for the day was Bill Yuan’s 149 followed by Doug Hardesty and Ben Faulkner. As is the norm on such tough days, the shorter, slower dogs ruled the roost with Brittany’s sweeping the top three spots in the gun dog stakes. The puppy stakes exploded with new competition as some aged out and others sat out. RuSean Hardman battled with 5 others to come up tops in the puppy field.
